Foundation Stone of Assisi Vidyaniketan laid by Most Rev. Dr. Cornelius Elenjikal, Archbishop of Verapoly.
June 1994
Classes I to VI of Assisi Vidyaniketan start functioning with a total of 277 students
August 1995
No Objection Certificate received from Education Dept., Govt. of Kerala.
June 1996
The C. B. S. E. Board granted Affiliation for the School and permission to start Class VIII and prepare students for the Class X Board Exam.
July 1998
First School Magazine released by Most Rev.Dr.Daniel Acharuparambil.
January 1999
Library and Science Laboratories were upgraded with capacity of starting Plus Two.
March 1999
The 1st Batch of 20 students appear for the C.B.S.E., A. I. S. S. E examination and come out with flying colours.
28 June 1999
Senior Secondary Classes begin with sanction from the C. B. S. E. Board with both Science and Commerce streams.
June 2000
Classes I to IV of the Primary Classes are shifted to a new block, the Primary Annexe, a self-sufficient block with separate Staff Room, Library etc.

An Indoor Basket Ball cum Volley Ball Court is set up along with Sports room, etc.
November 2000
The Computer Laboratory upgraded with the intention of introducing Intel’s Teach to the Future Programme in the School with training for the Staff.
December 2000
The first batch of teachers are trained to incorporate technology into class room teaching. Successive batches of training follow.

New Chapel blessed by Most Rev.Dr.Daniel Acharuparambil.

An Audio-Visual Room cum Recording Studio complete with LCD and OH Projectors and modern technology for Recording begins to function. The Office systems are completely computerized.

A Multi-Gym with separate facilities for Girls and boys and an Indoor Basket ball-cum-Volley ball court is set up in the School and inaugurated by the Minister Prof K.V.Thomas. Patron,Archbishop of Verapoly,Most Rev.Dr.Daniel Acharuparambil laid the Foundation Stone for swimming pool.

CBSE SOUTH ZONE Badminton Tournament was conducted. Participants from 4 South Indian States attended the Tournament - 750 players, 180 officials and 119 Schools participated in the 4 day event.

Naadanruchi@Assisi - a novel project initiated by Class X students and supported by all staff and students served a dual purpose : Collection of Funds for Adivasi Children of Wayanad and also promoting the traditional Kerala cuisine with all its healthy and nutritious values to new gen students.

CBSE SOUTH ZONE Badminton Tournament was again conducted at Assisi. Keeping alive a previously exciting experience participants poured in from the 4 South Indian States attended the Tournament - 741 players, 350 officials and 125 Schools participated in the 4 day event.

Hon’ble CBSE Chairman, Sri. Vineet Joshi , IAS & Academic Director Dr. Sadhana Parashar visited the School a second time, this time to orient CBSE School Teachers on the CCE system in CBSE. The programme was conducted under the aegis of the Kerala CBSE Schools Management Association

“Haritha Darshanam” - the Project highlighted organic farming of vegetables and fruits and inspired students and their families to adopt small scale farming for their family needs. An exhibition was conducted the proceeds of which were used for charity.

“Go Green” - Cycle Rally by students from Kakkanad to Alapuzha aimed at highlighting and educating students about being environment friendly. The students visited schools on the way and gave presentations and demonstrations.

A new modern Administrative Block is set up with Reception, Office Rooms, etc. to make administrative functioning more efficient. A new Staff Room capable of housing almost 75 Teachers is also made ready.

Assisi stressed on Empowerment of the Girl Child. Mass Self -defence classes (Karate)were given to girl students from Classes VI to XII to instil in them self-confidence and leadership

CBSE South Zone Girls’ Football Tournament was conducted at Assisi School. 30 teams from across 5 States participated in the Under 17 and Under 19 categories. Matches were conducted at three venues.
